Reply to all…when is this NOT a good idea? Maybe 3:55 am? Yeah, that could be a bad idea.
In real life, things happen like someone wetting the bed and waking you at 3:50 am. You follow up on this by putting clothes on, finding your glasses and a hair tie to get the hair out of your face as fast as you can so as to escape before anyone else in the room wakes up. Then, just when you think you got this (which is always a bad idea), the child who woke you is naked and freezing. While you are washing him, and you have to run upstairs to get the baby you woke up by leaving the room before she wakes the Daddy, who has to go to work in a few hours and needs to sleep. Whew! Well, you get the naked child clean, and he starts to dress so you run upstairs to get the baby only to hear Daddy’s phone notification going off…Batman theme song, really?
“Who could be texting me at 3 in the morning!?” (I cleaned that up a bit for publication) Why, it is the PERSON YOU REPLIED TO ALL TO WITH “What to do with baby?” I think it said, as long as we’re keeping it real, “What to do 2ith baby” …still half asleep…anyway, the reply he got from MY BROTHER AT 3:55 AM was, “I have no idea.” After asking me why my brother would be writing that particular thought at that particular hour of the day, he quietly says, realizing his mistake, “Oh, remember that group thing we were texting last night? I just replied to all. I hope I didn’t wake him up.”
Yeah, I don’t think there is an emoji for the look on my face. There may be a GIF, though…I will have to see.
It wasn’t all a loss. I got up later than I had wanted but early enough to still get stuff done and everyone was changed, clean, fed, STILL SNUG AS A BUG BECAUSE HE DIDN’T HAVE TO LEAVE THE BED…and finally back to sleep.
Nothing like a dose of reality to kick start the day. Here is the life of my story. I don’t mind a bit.
